Waiting on Wednesday [#52]

I’ve got an exciting book to share with you today! Not that I’d ever be sharing a book that isn’t exciting, but just nod along. It’s crazy to think that all those new releases that seemed so far away at the start of the year are very nearly in our hot little hands now. I’m sure we’ll be fervently reading the books that we’re thinking gosh 2017 is YEARS away within a blink of an eye!

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill @ Breaking the SpineIt’s a tremendously fun thing to be because you have an excuse to gallivant through the 2016 releases (and probably buy far too many books). It’s also fantastic fun to head over to the official page and check out the link up to what everyone else is waiting on!

Not all are free. Not all are equal. Not all will be saved.
Our world belongs to the Equals — aristocrats with magical gifts — and all commoners must serve them for ten years. But behind the gates of England’s grandest estate lies a power that could break the world.
A girl thirsts for love and knowledge.
Abi is a servant to England’s most powerful family, but her spirit is free. So when she falls for one of the noble-born sons, Abi faces a terrible choice. Uncovering the family’s secrets might win her liberty, but will her heart pay the price?
A boy dreams of revolution.
Abi’s brother, Luke, is enslaved in a brutal factory town. Far from his family and cruelly oppressed, he makes friends whose ideals could cost him everything. Now Luke has discovered there may be a power even greater than magic: revolution.
And an aristocrat will remake the world with his dark gifts.
He is a shadow in the glittering world of the Equals, with mysterious powers no one else understands. But will he liberate—or destroy?

The blurb for this book just sounds absolutely excellent. I want this so badly to turn into Steampunk because the potential is right there! I’d say this sounds a little ambiguous at the moment with the specifics of what exactly is going to go down in this book – but I can work out enough that I’m 100% interested.

And the cover is gorgeous! Which is obviously absolutely essential. The mixing of the inequality and revolutionary vibes of this book definitely have me hoping that this lives up to expectations because it sounds fabulous!
