Waiting on Wednesday [#44]

Is anyone else positively gasping for Christmas? It’s just about the only thing I can THINK of at the moment. Which is crazy because it’s mid-October but boy oh boy do I love Christmas. I cannot wait to have oodles of time to lounge about and read. Not mention reading some of these spectacular books coming out very soon!

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill @ Breaking the SpineIt’s a tremendously fun thing to be because you have an excuse to gallivant through the 2016 releases (and probably buy far too many books). It’s also fantastic fun to head over to the official page and check out the link up to what everyone else is waiting on!

Inside an enchanted castle, there’s a closet—a closet with one hundred dresses that nobody ever wears. Dresses like those need a good trying-on, and Darling Dimple is just the girl to do it. And Darling is about to have an adventure that calls for a disguise or two…or a hundred.

I stumbled across this book when perusing new books coming out and I think this sounds wonderful. It might be written for 10 year olds but please, have you even met me? I’m definitely the right target audience for this book. Truth be told, I’m actually in love with this idea of putting on clothes and transforming into the role of someone else. I have definitely never tried to do this before. Nope. Never.

Sometimes I think it’s great to take a break from your TBR and go pick up a book you read yonks ago – or a children’s book you’ve never read (and if you’re drawing a blank here check out this list). I genuinely think I might accidentally buy this if I see it in the shops. Just saying.

  1. Great pick for this week Kirstie, I haven’t read many children’s fiction books (unless you could all the times I’ve re-read Harry Potter) but this one sounds interesting. I love fairy tale style books and like you said sometimes it’s nice to have a change from YA books all the time! 😀
