One quote more!!! *Les Mis music* Now I’ve been tagged quite a few times to do this one but I debating how I wanted to do it/being lazy so I apologise if it’s been months, but I’m sure you’re not sweating over it. So thank you to everyone who tagged me. The goal is to post three quotes over three consecutive days, and I thought yeah – I can do that! So here we are with day three. I’m not actually sure whether these are supposed to be quotes from what I’m reading at the moment but I’m going to pick some of my favourites quotes that I’ve got saved on Goodreads, because that’s far more fun.
The rules:
- Thank the person who nominated you.
- Post a quote for three consecutive days.
- Nominate three new bloggers each day.
“You are ridiculous, Khalid Ibn al-Rashid. I am just one girl. You are the Caliph of Khorasan, and you have a responsibility to a kingdom.”
“If you are just one girl, I am just one boy.”– Renée Ahdieh, The Wrath and the Dawn
If you haven’t read The Wrath and the Dawn yet then you’re missing out on such extreme levels that I pity you. GET TO IT, GURL. This quote though, is beautiful and perfect. I love how much it sums up Khalid’s character – he’s so mysterious and sort of, subdued? I just love how plainly he’s able to respond to Shahrzad being mean(ish) to him and both her and the reader see him differently for a moment. I CAN’T WAIT FOR BOOK TWO.

And that brings my quoting adventure to a close. I hope you enjoyed my quotes as much as I enjoyed revisiting them!
I really want to get to this book soon.
