Wishlist Wednesday [#30]

Welcome back to Wednesday! I just have to share this with you guys: I’m going to what is known as the Cat Cafe tomorrow! It’s literally a cafe where there are cats which you can cuddle, I’m a little bit extremely excited. Does life get any better than this? I don’t think so.

Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted @ Pen to Paper where we get to feature a book that’s been on our wishlist for a long time that we want to buy/read! I have a hugely extensive list that I keep updated over on The Book Depository so I’m never short of books that I’m wishing on.

Where do I make my lists? First and foremost I use my “sound good” shelf on Goodreads where I basically keep track of all the books I’ve encountered that tickle my fancy. BUT, The Book Depository has my most concise list of all the books that I so dearly want to throw my money at and look at one my shelf.

 This week I’m wishing on . . .

Alice in Zombieland
by Gena Showalter

Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy, Horror [Zombies]
Author: Gena Showalter
Published: September 2012
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Pages: 404 {hardback}

She won’t rest until she’s sent every walking corpse back to its grave. Forever.
If anyone had told Alice Bell that her entire life would change course between one heartbeat and the next, she would have laughed. From blissful to tragic, innocent to ruined? Please. But that’s all it took. One heartbeat. A blink, a breath, a second, and everything she knew and loved was gone.
Her father was right. The monsters are real.
To avenge her family, Ali must learn to fight the undead. To survive, she must learn to trust the baddest of the bad boys, Cole Holland. But Cole has secrets of his own, and if Ali isn’t careful, those secrets might just prove to be more dangerous than the zombies.

There’s a good chance that you’re aware of my Alice in Wonderland retellings addiction. It’s amazing that I haven’t actually read this one yet – this is just one of those books that keeps just missing out on being bought. I absolutely love what authors do with Alice in Wonderland so I absolutely read as many retellings of it as I possibly can! And this has been quite a popular series, so hopefully I’ll get around to it eventually!

  1. I haven’t read this one BUT I WANT TO. It’s like on the eternally long “borrow this from the library before you turn 84” list. Because ALICE. I love Alice!! And I love zombies, so what can really go wrong here?!? I’m just going to try and pretend I didn’t dislike Firstlife so I can go into this with good expectations.😂

    1. Haha this book is on that very same list with me! (Along with Dorothy Must Die, why are these books so hard to get around to?) I’m tremendously determined to love this series *puts on warrior’s helmet*
