Wishlist Wednesday [#3]

Hello again everyone! Welcome back to Wednesday. Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted @ Pen to Paper where we get to feature a book that’s been on our wishlist for a long time that we want to buy/read! I have a hugely extensive list that I keep updated over on The Book Depository so I’m never short of books that I’m wishing on.

Where do I make my lists? First and foremost I use my “sound good” shelf on Goodreads where I basically keep track of all the books I’ve encountered that tickle my fancy. BUT, The Book Depository has my most concise list of all the books that I so dearly want to throw my money at and look at one my shelf.

 This week I’m wishing on . . .

Knife by R. J. Anderson

Once upon a time, a fairy is born.

Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy
Author: R. J. Anderson
Published: January 2009
Publisher: Orchard
Pages: 320 {paperback}

Once upon a time, a fairy is born. She lives in an old oak tree at the bottom of a garden with the rest of the fairy folk. Never has she known a time when life hasn’t been hard, with many dangers and much adversity. But when she becomes the Hunter of the group and learns to do battle in the outside world, her adventures really take off…

Don’t read this book if you’re expecting fairy dust – the last thing Knife is likely to wield is a magic wand…

I think we should start with the fact that this cover is BEAUTIFUL. I’m all in wherever fairies are concerned and this just seems so badass. The cover is just screaming that we’re going to have fun in this book and that is promises to be a fantastic read.

I’ve no real reason for not buying this other than the plain fact that I haven’t. Just one of those things that I’ve had my eye on forever and a day but never added to the cart and committed too. NONETHELESS. One day I shall buy this beauty and thoroughly enjoy it. I’m sure.

 Have you read this? What did you think of it?
