Exploring My Bookshelves: Family

I’m finally back with another Exploring My Bookshelves. I haven’t participated over the last couple of weeks because I’ve been busy doing other things and this just sort of didn’t happen. But I’m back, so that’s good. Exploring My Bookshelves is a weekly meme co-hosted by Shannon @ For The Love of Words and Victoria @ Addlepates and Book Nerds. Each week we’re given a new theme and we get to talk about one book that relates to it. It’s good fun and sort of like speed-dating someone’s bookshelf.

And now! For the obligatory shelfie!

This week’s theme is:

A Family You Wish You Could Join

 The Pevensies
from The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe

Narnia Series

I’ve always admired the four siblings from this book. Although there’s no apparent mother or father figure, the relationship between the four siblings is beautiful. As the adventures go on their ties only seem to get stronger (maybe with the exception of Susan) but if we take a snap shot of the four of them at the end of this book then that is something that I’d love to be a part of. I’ve always thought to be one of four children in a family must be nice – you’d be sort of like a pack, or a gaggle of children or something, because there’s so many of you. And if a magical wardrobe and an awesome lion come as part of this package then sign me up!

 What’s your favourite fictional family?
