Another great collection of Sherlock Holmes short stories, and of course, the very collection that ends in the Final Problem. I do think I prefer the full-length stories to these short stories, but there are some really great cases amongst the short stories that pack an unexpected punch.
Is there anything not to love about this? There's nothing better than a healthy dose of Sherlock Holmes bundled up together. I really enjoyed this collection of short stories - it was so much fun, despite every case being so short!
This little mystery has stuck with me since I turned the final page. I thought I liked it – thought it was fine – but the more I thought on it, the more I realised that this was a damn good read and very unique. I didn't just like it, I loved it.
I've decided to start a read through of the Sherlock Holmes books in chronological order - and this was delightful to start at the very beginning of Holmes and Watson's relationship. I loved the way this book began by introducing the circumstances in which the two meet, followed by an excellent mystery of course.
