ARGH. I loved this! I have been so excited to get my hands on this book and devour it, and it was even better than expected!

This is about monsters (who look like humans) who have secret powers, and there’s so much to enjoy with the adventure that unfolds but I don’t want to spoil anyone.

We have a romance that isn’t overwhelming, we have a subtle and tastefully done love triangle, we have mad escapes and misfits banding together to escape baddies. We have found families and lost families. And most of all, we have deliciously fun settings.

This book is SO epic with the places it takes you and I absolutely loved Joan. I was thrilled with all the twists and turns and devoured this within a day, just needing to know how it end.

The story is agony in its beauty, twisting your heart as you desperately want a better solution to Joan’s problems. And obviously it has the theme of a Romeo and Juliet story with two spectacularly star-crossed lovers who you’ll find yourself turning yourself into knots not knowing whether you ship it or hate it.

Basically, this is a must read. So go read it!
