This book is one of my favourite children’s picture books I’ve read thanks to the nostalgia of the Percy the Park Keeper-style illustrations that are quaint and adorable. This wind-down story for bedtime is the perfect, cheerful book to read through with a little one. The illustrations are engrossing and there is so much to talk about when you look closer.
If you’re looking for a book that will soothe the mind and fill the heart with joy, this is the book you need. The woodland creatures and pleasing colour palette are calming and sweet. Not the mention the storyline of all the things going to sleep to welcome in the night was beautifully done.
Big thumbs up from me, I hope this will become a family favourite!
