I surprised myself this month with the little amount of books I accrued on my TBR. I think I must be broken, don’t you worry – I’ll try harder in September. I think this was partially aided by the fact that I didn’t receive any books from publishers in August, which was a nice chance to catch up on my TBR. But let’s jump into it!
Days of Blood and Starlight
by Laini Taylor
I had a moment of sanity where I actually made a reasonable decision concerning which books I should purchase. I thought, hey, what are some books I’ve read and enjoyed but didn’t get around to buying the sequel? And this was the answer! I really enjoyed Daughter of Smoke and Bone so I’ve now got a copy of the sequel to continue on the magnificent story.
LEGO Star Wars: Small Scenes from a Big Galaxy
by Vesa Lehtimäki
This was such a nerd buy. I saw it for a good price on the Book Depository and both myself and Jayden like Star Wars so I got a copy. What is it? It’s a whole book of super high quality photos that are recreations of scenes from the Star Wars stories done in LEGO. It’s fantastic.
by Diana Gabaldon
I am diligently carrying on with this series and very excited about it. I’ve loved the first two books so far and am thoroughly enjoying the audiobooks so heck yeah I bought the third one! This is a whopping 44 hour audiobook . . . and they only get longer from here on in!
