Waiting On Wednesday [#50]

Hello good friends. I’m getting extraordinarily excited for tomorrow – it’s the first of December! FINALLY. The month I’ve have been living for is just a sleep away. I shall be decking the halls tomorrow with the rest of the family and jumping with glee at the Christmas carols that we’ve all been so eagerly waiting to play. Ah, yes, tomorrow shall be a good day.

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill @ Breaking the SpineIt’s a tremendously fun thing to be because you have an excuse to gallivant through the 2016 releases (and probably buy far too many books). It’s also fantastic fun to head over to the official page and check out the link up to what everyone else is waiting on!

Amy’s grandmother, Lady Mairead, insists that Amy must read while she resides at Lennox House—but not in the usual way. It turns out that Amy is a book jumper, able to leap into a story and interact with the world inside. As thrilling as Amy’s new power is, it also brings danger—someone is stealing from the books she visits, and that person may be after her life. Teaming up with fellow book jumper Will, Amy vows to get to the bottom of the thefts—at whatever the cost.

There is a very specific reason as to why I got so excited when I saw that this was a book being written – it immediately reminded me of Inkheart, that beautiful story, and also Between the Lines (Jodi Piccoult) so of course I had to keep an eye on it. I love the idea of being able to jump in the world of the book and the whole thing about the books she’s visiting being stolen? This book sounds so up my alleyway it’s not even funny.

What I’m really interested about is that Gläser is a German author and all of her books are originally in German. I’m curious to see what this is like as a translated piece and also very excited that I stumbled across a book originally written in another language!!
